The CELO (Cold Exposure in Lean and Obese Subjects) study are looking for male and female volunteers aged between 18 and 40 years of age who are not taking any regular medications to assist with their research. This study is testing how brown fat (a special type of fat in our body which generates heat) activation is controlled. Participation will involve attending the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on two occasions (the first for 40 minutes and the second for 5 hours). Volunteers will be compensated for their time.
