OUR LIABILITY 

SHARE bears no responsibility for the health and safety of individuals who use the SHARE website or the SHARE App. Should an individual feel unwell, they must seek medical advice immediately. SHARE staff cannot access individual’s personal electronic health records and as such are not aware if an individual is at risk of any health condition.   

Researchers using your blood samples will produce reports and publications of what they find out. However, because researchers don’t know who’s blood they are using (the samples are de-identified), you won’t be identified in these reports and SHARE or the Researcher will not provide information to you about your own individual results. Please see our Privacy Policy for further information.  

It is possible that information about you that comes from research on your blood samples could be important and helpful to doctors treating you in the future. If that is the case, it may be appropriate at some point in the future for this information to be added to your medical records.

Log files are maintained and analysed of all requests for files on the SHARE website server. Aggregated analyses of these log files are used to monitor website usage.
