Understanding patient and professional experience of managing multiple medications in type 2 diabetes

Researchers from the University of Glasgow are looking for volunteers who have type 2 diabetes and who regularly take multiple different mediations.

People with type 2 diabetes are often prescribed several different types of medications to help manage their diabetes as well as other conditions they may have. Although these treatments are important and necessary, for some people it can be difficult to manage challenges such as side effects or organising many different treatments.

The aim of this study is to understand experiences of people who are taking multiple medications. They are interested to hear about both positive and negative views and experiences, what people value in their medications, how they feel they are helped as well as challenges that they experience.

Eligibility Criteria

·       Diagnosis of T2 diabetes

·       And Taking 5 or more different medications regularly (can be from same class of drug or different)

·       Age 40+
