Vignettes in Mental Health Literacy

Vignettes in Mental Health Literacy

Researchers at Dundee University are inviting you to take part in a project to help set the standard for how short stories known as "vignettes" are used to measure mental health understanding (Mental Health Literacy). Vignettes are stories about everyday situations that are used to see how people recognise and respond to mental health difficulties. The study is called "Exploring the Use and Development of Vignettes in Mental Health Literacy (MHL) Assessment: a Delphi Study".

The researchers are looking to hear from people with personal experience of mental health challenges, to ensure these stories are clear and relatable.

You can take part if you:

  • are aged 18 or over,
  • live in Scotland,
  • have personal experience of mental health challenges.

Taking part involves:

  • Completing two online surveys (around 20 minutes each).
  • The second survey will take place 4-6 weeks after the first.

Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw without giving a reason.
