Take part in the osteoarthritis research study

Researchers from the University of Leeds are looking for people living with hip or knee osteoarthritis to take part in their study and receive support from a trained peer mentor to help manage the condition better.

The aim of the study is to explore whether volunteer peer mentors can help other people living with hip or knee osteoarthritis (OA) by providing weekly remote (online or telephone) support sessions.

You are eligible to take part in the study if:

  • You are living with osteoarthritis of the hip or knee.
  • You feel that you are disadvantaged because of your finances, education or social circumstances.

In return you will receive:

  • Weekly support sessions to help you learn practical skills to manage OA and help build your confidence.
  • Six x 1-hour remote (online or telephone) support sessions from a trained peer mentor.
  • Additional support with Wi-Fi and other enabling costs.

To take part, please email [email protected] or phone 07745 210126.
